Training and Education: The School for Community Leaders (SCL)
Poor families and community organizations face their problems with their strengths and abilities. The professionalization of human resources constitutes more and more of a need to participate in city life, incorporating yourself to networks, designing strategies and projects, and the procurement of resources.
In a sense, through the framework of its programs, the foundation has incorporated training and knowledge transfers by directing not only methodological tools at the implementation of the project, but by also incorporating theoretical reflections about what it is to be a citizen and the role of the State and civil society in local development.
• Goal

The objective of the creation of the Community Leaders Training Centre is to lever up the local development process of Cruce Derqui and the surrounding areas.

In this sense, the Community Leaders Training Centre intends to:

• Bring together different sources of action in the local environment, maintain an ample and open perspective where the ability to adapt to different realities and situations can be seen.
• To use a participative model, understanding that participation is a work philosophy and a fundamental objective, in so much as it constitutes an engine for both external and internal change.
• Globalizing and integrating the existing resources and dynamics inside the area, putting them to work towards the quality of life of the residents and bringing about the necessary social transformations to improve it.

The implementation of the Education Centre is planned in 3 steps, the first of which coincides with the activity plan detailed in the current application. And so, the three steps are:
1º Currently in Motion: Design and structure of the Centre, which includes the purchase of a headquarters and a determination of the overall value of the project. Systemization of the work model applied by FVPS. Design, edit, and print the first training modules. Obtain the funds for scholarships, thus identifying the possible strategic partners and creating sustainability in the long run. Implementation in the first four months. Evaluation and adjustment of the training offered in the first phase.
2º Development of training oriented toward civic participation and to improve access to employment.
3º Consolidation of the Education Centre into the framework of the Local Development Program of Cruce Derqui directed by FPVS and other organizations
