The Neighborhood Development Plan strives to promote longterm social change in terms of community development, home improvement, empowerment of neighbours, technical help as well as by improving access to housing and financial services.

Home Improvements

This program involves the lending microcredits for home improvements to small groups of borrowers. This innovative model has been adapted to the specific needs of low income families who typically work informally and have been excluded from formal borrowing markets.

Large Scale Gasification

Integral Gasification projects       consist in
extending gas networks ,   a    key element for
improving        living    standards in    these
neighborhoods. The projects work through a
trust fund system, where FPVS   acts as a
link   between community organizations and
the gas             providing company.

The program consists in granting microcredit or housing improvement to families asking for it as a group. Microcredit is a tool that gives opportunities to low income families with informal jobs.
